What We Believe
The SeedChurch Project Statement of Faith
Our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and centered on the finished work of Jesus Christ.
The Triune God
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the Creator of all things.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, was buried, and rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. He is both fully God and fully man.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.
Resurrection and Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal joy of the saved in God's presence, and the eternal punishment of the lost.
Salvation through Jesus Christ
We believe in personal salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood.
Sanctification and Holy Living
We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. We affirm personal holiness and purity of heart and life.
Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing through faith in the name of Jesus Christ and affirm that healing is included in His redemptive work.
Baptism and the Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in water baptism and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience distinct from the new birth. We believe in speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, in the gifts of the Spirit, and in the fruit of the Spirit expressed in the believer's life. We affirm that these are available to believers.
Acts 2:4
The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe in the Christian's blessed hope: the soon-coming, personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
